Connellsville Diversity & Inclusion Board 4th Annual Juneteenth Celebration
What is Juneteenth?
Juneteenth marks the end of slavery in the United States. It is celebrated on June 19th each year. This day commemorates the announcement of the abolition of slavery in Texas in 1865. It is a time to reflect on freedom and equality.
Connellsville, PA, will host a Juneteenth celebration this year. It will be a day filled with unity and culture. Everyone is welcome to join.
Event Highlights
Music and Performances
Local artists will perform throughout the day. You can enjoy a mix of genres, from gospel to jazz. There will also be dance performances that showcase African American culture.

Sample delicious food from local vendors. You will find a variety of dishes that reflect African American culinary traditions. There will also be vendor tables selling handmade crafts and art and books.

Family-Friendly Activities
Bring the whole family for a day of fun. There will be activities for children, including games and crafts. These activities aim to educate children about Juneteenth in an engaging way.
Volunteer Opportunities
Get involved by volunteering at the event. Volunteers are needed for various tasks, from setting up to assisting with activities. Your help will make the event a success.
